ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ: ਯੂਕਰੇਨ ਨਾਲ ਏਕਤਾ ‘ਚ ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਦੇ ਡਾਊਨਟਾਊਨ ਵਿੱਚ ‘ਮੈਗਾ ਮਾਰਚ’ ਲਈ ਵੱਡੀ ਭੀੜ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਹੋਈ। ਯੂਕਰੇਨ ਦੇ ਸਮਰਥਨ ‘ਚ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਝੰਡੇ ਅਤੇ ਰੂਸ ਦੇ ਹਮਲੇ ਦੀ ਨਿੰਦਾ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੀ ਵੱਡੀ ਭੀੜ ਵਲਾਦੀਮੀਰ ਪੁਤਿਨ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਚਿੰਨ੍ਹ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਯੰਗ ਅਤੇ ਡੁੰਡਾਸ ਸਕੁਏਅਰ (Yonge and Dundas Square) ‘ਤੇ ਇਕੱਠੀ ਹੋਈ ਅਤੇ ਇਕਜੁੱਟਤਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਨਾਥਨ ਫਿਲਿਪਸ ਸਕੁਆਇਰ (Nathan Phillips Square) ਵੱਲ ਮਾਰਚ ਕੀਤਾ।
ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਪੁਲਿਸ ਨੇ ਪ੍ਰਦਰਸ਼ਨਕਾਰੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਮਾਰਚ ਕਰਨ ਦੀ ਇਜਾਜ਼ਤ ਦੇਣ ਲਈ ਯੰਗ ਸਟ੍ਰੀਟ ਅਤੇ ਡੁੰਡਾਸ ਸਟਰੀਟ ਵੈਸਟ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਹਿੱਸੇ ਨੂੰ ਅਸਥਾਈ ਤੌਰ ‘ਤੇ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਸੀ।

ਹਜ਼ਾਰਾਂ ਦੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਇਕੱਤਰ ਯੂਕਰੇਨ ਹਮਾਇਤੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਨਾਥਨ ਫਿਲਪ ਸਕੁਏਅਰ ਵਿਖੇ ਇੱਕ ਸਟੇਜ ਲਗਾ ਕੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਵਿਚਾਰ ਦੁਨੀਆਂ ਨਾਲ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਕੀਤੇ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਟੋਰਾਂਟੋ ਦੇ ਮੇਅਰ ਜਾਨ ਟੋਰੀ ਸਣੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਐਮ.ਪੀਜ਼, ਐਮ.ਪੀ.ਪੀਜ਼, ਕੌਂਸਲਰ ਅਤੇ ਮੇਅਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਹਾਜ਼ਰੀ ਲਗਵਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਯੂਕਰੇਨ ਦੇ ਹੱਕ ‘ਚ ਆਵਾਜ਼ ਚੁੱਕੀ।
