ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ: ਫਲਾਇੰਗ ਸਿੱਖ ਮਿਲਖਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ 91 ਸਾਲ ਦੀ ਉਮਰ ‘ਚ ਦੇਹਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਹੈ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਸ਼ੁੱਕਰਵਾਰ ਰਾਤ 11:30 ਵਜੇ PGI ਵਿਖੇ ਆਖਰੀ ਸਾਹ ਲਏ। ਮਿਲਖਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਵੀਰਵਾਰ ਦੇਰ ਰਾਤ ਬੁਖਾਰ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਆਕਸੀਜਨ ਪੱਧਰ ਵੀ ਡਿੱਗ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਉਦੋਂ ਤੋਂ ਹੀ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਨਾਜ਼ੁਕ ਬਣੀ ਹੋਈ ਸੀ।
ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਪਹਿਲਾਂ ਮਿਲਖਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਵਿਡ- 19 ਟੈਸਟ ਨੈਗੇਟਿਵ ਪਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਜਿਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਵਿਡ ਆਈਸੀਯੂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਹਰ ਪੀਜੀਆਈ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਦੇ ਮੈਡੀਕਲ ਆਈਸੀਯੂ ਵਿੱਚ ਤਬਦੀਲ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
ਮਿਲਖਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੇ ਦੇਹਾਂਤ ‘ਤੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਨਰਿੰਦਰ ਮੋਦੀ ਤੇ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਅਮਿਤ ਸ਼ਾਹ ਨੇ ਦੁੱਖ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਗਟਾਵਾ ਕੀਤਾ ਹੈ।

ਦੱਸਣਯੋਗ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਮਿਲਖਾ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਬੀਤੇ ਮਹੀਨੇ ਕੋਰੋਨਾ ਹੋਇਆ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪਤਨੀ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਮਿਲਖਾ ਦਾ 13 ਜੂਨ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਵਿਡ ਕਾਰਨ ਦੇਹਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ।
