ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ: ਭਾਰਤੀ ਰਿਜ਼ਰਵ ਬੈਂਕ (RBI) 2000 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਨੋਟ ਨੂੰ ਵਾਪਸ ਲੈਣ ਜਾ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ, ਇਹ ਲੀਗਲ ਮੁਦਰਾ ਬਣੀ ਰਹੇਗੀ। ਭਾਰਤੀ ਰਿਜ਼ਰਵ ਬੈਂਕ ਨੇ ਬੈਂਕਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਤੁਰੰਤ ਪ੍ਰਭਾਵ ਨਾਲ 2000 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਨੋਟ ਜਾਰੀ ਕਰਨ ਤੋਂ ਰੋਕਣ ਦੀ ਸਲਾਹ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ।

ਸਾਲ 2016 ‘ਚ ਨੋਟਬੰਦੀ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ 2000 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਰੁਪਏ ਦਾ ਨੋਟ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਨੋਟਬੰਦੀ ਦੌਰਾਨ 500 ਅਤੇ 1000 ਰੁਪਏ ਦੇ ਨੋਟ ਬੰਦ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ ਗਏ ਸਨ।
