ਚੰਡੀਗੜ੍ਹ: ਪੰਜਾਬ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਅਹੁਦੇ ਤੋਂ ਅਸਤੀਫਾ ਦੇ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਟਵੀਟ ਕਰਕੇ ਦਿੱਤੀ ਹੈ। ਸਿੱਧੂ ਨੇ ਟਵੀਟ ਕਰ ਲਿਖਿਆ, ‘ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਹਾਈਕਮਾਨ ਦੀ ਇੱਛਾ ਮੁਤਾਬਕ ਮੈਂ ਆਪਣਾ ਅਸਤੀਫਾ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਹੈ।’

ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੀ ਕੌਮੀ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸੋਨੀਆ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਨੇ ਨਵਜੋਤ ਸਿੱਧੂ ਸਣੇ ਪੰਜ ਰਾਜਾਂ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਅਸਤੀਫਾ ਮੰਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਇਸ ਸਬੰਧੀ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਬੀਤੇ ਦਿਨੀਂ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਦੇ ਜਨਰਲ ਸਕੱਤਰ ਰਣਦੀਪ ਸਿੰਘ ਸੂਰਜੇਵਾਲਾ ਨੇ ਟਵੀਟ ਕਰ ਕੇ ਦਿਤੀ, ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ, ‘ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਸੋਨੀਆ ਗਾਂਧੀ ਨੇ ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼,ਉਤਰਾਖੰਡ, ਪੰਜਾਬ,ਗੋਆ ਅਤੇ ਮਨੀਪੁਰ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਸਤੀਫੇ ਲਈ ਆਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਤਾਂ ਜੋ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਕਾਂਗਰਸ ਕਮੇਟੀਆਂ ਦਾ ਪੁਨਰਗਠਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾ ਸਕੇ।’
