ਨਵੀਂ ਦਿੱਲੀ : ਸੀਡੀਐਸ ਜਨਰਲ ਰਾਵਤ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੈਲੀਕਾਪਟਰ ਹਾਦਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਖ਼ਮੀ ਹੋਏ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਵਰੁਣ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਬੁੱਧਵਾਰ ਨੂੰ ਦਿਹਾਂਤ ਹੋ ਗਿਆ। ਭਾਰਤੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੇ ਟਵੀਟ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਹ ਜਾਣਕਾਰੀ ਦਿੱਤੀ। ਹਵਾਈ ਸੈਨਾ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਵਰੁਣ ਨੇ ਗੰਭੀਰ ਸੱਟਾਂ ਕਾਰਨ ਦਮ ਤੋੜ ਦਿੱਤਾ।
ਗਰੁੱਪ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਵਰੁਣ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ 8 ਦਸੰਬਰ ਨੂੰ ਤਾਮਿਲਨਾਡੂ ਦੇ ਕੂਨੂਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈਲੀਕਾਪਟਰ ਹਾਦਸੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਜ਼ਖਮੀ ਹੋਣ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਵੈਲਿੰਗਟਨ ਦੇ ਆਰਮੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਰਤੀ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ। ਬਾਅਦ ਵਿਚ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਨਾਜ਼ੁਕ ਹਾਲਤ ਨੂੰ ਦੇਖਦੇ ਹੋਏ ਬੈਂਗਲੁਰੂ ਭੇਜ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਉਹ ਪਿਛਲੇ 7 ਦਿਨਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਜ਼ਿੰਦਗੀ ਦੀ ਲੜਾਈ ਲੜ ਰਹੇ ਸਨ ।

ਬਹਾਦਰੀ ਪੁਰਸਕਾਰ ਜੇਤੂ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਵਰੁਣ ਸਿੰਘ ਇੱਕ ਫੌਜੀ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਨਾਲ ਸਬੰਧ ਰੱਖਦੇ ਸਨ। ਦੇਵਰੀਆ, ਉੱਤਰ ਪ੍ਰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਵਸਨੀਕ ਵਰੁਣ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਤਿੰਨ ਸੈਨਾਵਾਂ ਨੇਵੀ, ਆਰਮੀ ਅਤੇ ਏਅਰ ਫੋਰਸ ਨਾਲ ਜੁੜਿਆ ਹੋਇਆ ਹੈ।
ਗਰੁੱਪ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਵਰੁਣ ਸਿੰਘ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਹਵਾਈ ਸੈਨਾ (IAF) ਤੋਂ ਸਨ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਿਤਾ ਸੇਵਾਮੁਕਤ ਕਰਨਲ ਕੇਪੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਆਰਮੀ ਏਅਰ ਡਿਫੈਂਸ (ਏਏਡੀ) ਦੀ ਰੈਜੀਮੈਂਟ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਨ। ਕਰਨਲ ਕੇਪੀ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਦੂਜਾ ਪੁੱਤਰ ਅਤੇ ਗਰੁੱਪ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਵਰੁਣ ਸਿੰਘ ਦਾ ਛੋਟਾ ਭਰਾ ਲੈਫਟੀਨੈਂਟ ਕਮਾਂਡਰ ਤਨੁਜ ਸਿੰਘ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਜਲ ਸੈਨਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਹੈ। ਵਰੁਣ ਦਾ ਪਰਿਵਾਰ ਇਨ੍ਹੀਂ ਦਿਨੀਂ ਭੋਪਾਲ ‘ਚ ਰਹਿ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ ।
