ਬਾਗਪਤ: ਨੈਸ਼ਨਲ ਲੋਕ ਦਲ (ਆਰਐਲਡੀ) ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਧਾਨ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਕੇਂਦਰੀ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਚੌਧਰੀ ਅਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਕੋਰੋਨਾ ਦੀ ਲਾਗ ਕਾਰਨ ਮੌਤ ਹੋ ਗਈ। ਦੱਸ ਦਈਏ ਕਿ ਅਚਾਨਕ ਸਿਹਤ ਖ਼ਰਾਬ ਹੋਣ ਕਾਰਨ 86 ਸਾਲਾ ਅਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੂੰ ਮੰਗਲਵਾਰ ਰਾਤ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂਗਰਾਮ ਦੇ ਇੱਕ ਨਿੱਜੀ ਹਸਪਤਾਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਦਾਖਲ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਉਹ ਵੈਂਟੀਲੇਟਰ ‘ਤੇ ਸਨ।
ਅਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਅਤੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਪੋਤੀ 22 ਅਪ੍ਰੈਲ ਨੂੰ ਕੋਰੋਨਾ ਪਾਜ਼ਿਟਿਵ ਪਾਏ ਗਏ ਸਨ। ਹਾਲਾਂਕਿ ਅਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਪੋਤੀ ਦੀ ਸਿਹਤ ਠੀਕ ਦੱਸੀ ਜਾ ਰਹੀ ਹੈ, ਪਰ ਅਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਦੀ ਮੌਤ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਸਿਆਸੀ ਗਲਿਆਰੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸੋਗ ਦੀ ਲਹਿਰ ਹੈ।
I am truly sad that my good friend for over 35 years, Ajit Singh son of Charan Singh died today due to Coronavirus. He was simple and straight forward with me all his life. In the late 1980s and thereafter he held many Ministerial posts.
