ਪਟਿਆਲਾ: ਪੰਜਾਬ ਦੇ ਸਾਬਕਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਮੰਤਰੀ ਕੈਪਟਨ ਅਮਰਿੰਦਰ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਟਵੀਟ ਕਰਕੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਹੈ ਕਿ, ‘ਮੈਂ ਲੋਕਾਂ ਦੇ ਫੈਸਲੇ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਨਿਮਰਤਾ ਨਾਲ ਸਵੀਕਾਰ ਕਰਦਾ ਹਾਂ। ਲੋਕਤੰਤਰ ਦੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਹੋਈ ਹੈ।
ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਅੱਗੇ ਲਿਖਿਆ ਕਿ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਭੇਦ-ਭਾਵ ਅਤੇ ਜਾਤ-ਪਾਤ ਤੋਂ ਉੱਪਰ ਉੱਠ ਕੇ ਵੋਟਾਂ ਪਾ ਕੇ ਪੰਜਾਬੀਅਤ ਦੀ ਅਸਲੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਦਿਖਾਈ ਹੈ। ਮੈਂ ਆਮ ਆਦਮੀ ਪਾਰਟੀ ਅਤੇ ਭਗਵੰਤ ਮਾਨ ਨੂੰ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਦੀ ਜਿੱਤ ਲਈ ਵਧਾਈ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹਾਂ।
I accept the verdict of the people with all humility. Democracy has triumphed. Punjabis have shown true spirit of Punjabiyat by rising and voting above sectarian and caste lines.
